Overview

A private family of three seeks to hire an experienced Housekeeper who is professional, presentable and would be happy to work six days (50 hrs) a week from 9a-7p on Saturdays and Sundays. With the flexibility to stay up to and no more than 2 hrs if needed. Weekdays the hours would be 9a-2p. The right candidate should have experience and knowledge in laundry and closet organization. I.e. able to separate dry cleaning from basics, folding and organizing clothes properly. Kitchen and refrigerator organization and a weekly food/beverage list of items needed. Able to assist in the kitchen well with a chef or cook.  Family has two small dogs that require a lot of love and attention! Should be an animal lover and ok with taking the dogs for daily walks.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning all surfaces
  • Overseeing general support with laundry and organizing closets
  • Deep cleaning and organizing bathrooms
  • Must be comfortable working around dogs
  • Occasionally assisting the chef with preparing food and vegetables, etc.
  • Providing excellent service to principals and guests
  • Hands-on care for furniture; polishing fine surfaces, silver care & maintenance
Schedule: June 28th – September 4, 2023. 
6-day work week. (50 hrs) Must be able to work weekends when principals are in residence most of the summer, 9a-7p on Saturdays and Sundays. Off Mondays, 9a-2p Tuesday-Friday.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience in a Private Residence
  • Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent references from current and previous employers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
  • Professional, polished, and poised at all times
  • Hands-on with a good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility in schedule with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Valid Driver’s license
