Overview

A private couple is in search of a skilled and meticulous part-time family assistant to assist in overseeing and coordinating the daily activities at their Palm Beach home.  The ideal candidate for this position must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, the ability to work independently, and feel at ease caring for their dog and young son. The primary responsibilities include managing orders, packages, returns, reservations, planning, research, and other related tasks.

  • Act as primary gatekeeper and liaison for the principal
  • Assisting with occasional care and supervision of a toddler boy and families dog
  • Prioritizes and coordinate calendar and meeting schedules
  • Coordinate and arrange all travel itineraries
  • Arrange accommodation and dining logistics locally and internationally
  • Manage and purchase items needed for principal
  • Clerical duties of sorting mail, answering phones, data entry, and filing
  • Maintaining and organizing bills, emails, notes, spreadsheets, and all documentation trail for immediate recall
  • Labeling and filing electronic copies of various documents and personal items
  • Meeting all necessary deadlines and anticipating employer needs
  • Creating excel spreadsheets and bookkeeping
  • Supports Principal with other duties and errands as required

The standard schedule consists of Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm. An additional 5 hours of flexibility per week is desirable, specifically for babysitting during evenings and weekends. A 25-hour work week is assured. Payment: The hourly compensation is competitive; nevertheless, ultimate offers are contingent on prior experience.

  • Able to build relationships with Family Members and other Administrative/Personal Staff
  • Ability in prioritizing high volume workloads while ensuring priorities and deadlines are met
  • Knows when and how to be assertive to get things done
  • Quickly responds to requests and does not need to be followed up on
  • Is responsible and possesses high integrity
