A discreet couple in Malvern, PA seeks an experienced House Manager to oversee daily household operations and provide direct support to the principals and family office. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication and organizational skills, thriving in a positive, high-standard household environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily household operations to ensure a seamless, well-maintained home.
  • Supervise, schedule, and lead household staff, fostering a collaborative and respectful team culture.
  • Collaborate with the principals to address household needs, manage projects, and coordinate events.
  • Oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers, working with the property manager to maintain the estate.
  • Maintain household inventories (e.g., pantry, wine cellar) and procure supplies as needed.
  • Support the family office with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Ensure household systems (smart home technology, HVAC, security, AV) are maintained and fully functional.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all household matters, including staff, vendors, and service providers.
  • Perform hands-on tasks (e.g., cleaning, laundry, organizing) as needed to maintain household standards.
  • Manage household projects, renovations, and repairs to the highest quality.
  • Develop and refine operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure optimal service and value.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000–$170,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM, with occasional weekend availability required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a private household.
  • Strong background in luxury service, hospitality, or estate management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong critical thinking and discretion.
  • Professional demeanor with high emotional intelligence and confidentiality.
  • Valid US work authorization required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
