Overview
On behalf of a warm and welcoming family of three in Greenwich, CT, Lily Pond Services is seeking a dedicated, long-term live-in nanny to provide exceptional care for a 3-month-old infant. The family plans to expand in the future and requires a compassionate, energetic, and highly experienced nanny to work closely with a stay-at-home parent. The role involves creating a nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment for the infant, with potential responsibilities for future siblings. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable, and deeply passionate about fostering infant and toddler growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, hands-on care for the infant, prioritizing developmental milestones and overall well-being.
- Adhere to a structured daily routine, including feeding, naps, and age-appropriate activities, while remaining flexible to the family’s evolving needs.
- Engage the child in interactive, screen-free activities such as storytelling, sensory play, and outdoor exploration to promote development.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning bottles, tidying play areas, and organizing baby supplies.
- Collaborate with the stay-at-home parent to ensure effective co-parenting, maintaining open communication and a cooperative approach.
- Provide occasional evening or weekend babysitting with reasonable advance notice.
- Accompany the family on domestic or international travel for vacations, with prior planning and agreement.
- Respect household boundaries, including quiet times and family privacy, to maintain a harmonious living environment.
- Proven experience as a nanny for infants; prior experience working with a stay-at-home parent is highly desirable.
- Nursing degree (from any country) is a significant advantage but not required.
- Non smokers only, with minimal phone use during work hours (occasional personal calls/texts permitted during breaks).
- Warm, compassionate, gentle, and energetic personality with a genuine passion for child development.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Organized, polite, and professional, with a deep respect for household boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to a long-term role with potential for increased responsibilities and compensation as the family grows.
- Comfortable with occasional overnight babysitting and international travel with the family.
- Valid driver’s license and passport with no travel restrictions
- Confident swimmer with water safety knowledge
- Legal U.S. work authorization
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable demeanor
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Additional Requirements
- Full engagement with the infant, avoiding reliance on videos or screens for entertainment.
- Ability to maintain consistent routines and schedules while adapting to the family’s evolving needs.
- Comfortable with live-in arrangements, including private accommodations provided by the family.
Ideal Start Date: October 5, 2025 Compensation: Competitive, based on experience (DOE), with performance-based raises and adjustments for additional responsibilities as the family grows.
