Overview

A Private Residence in Miami, FL is currently in search of a skilled, dynamic, and personable caregiver to primarily assist the female principal who is dealing with Dementia. The preferred candidate should possess a compassionate and diligent nature, along with previous experience in caring for individuals with Dementia. Fluency in both English and Russian is highly desirable.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the female principal, making sure she is taking her medications and providing companionship.
  • Procuring supplies, including grocery shopping, personal gift shopping, picking up medicine from the pharmacy etc.
  • Light housekeeping duties, laundry, and making sure the home is tidy and organized
  • Running ad-hoc tasks and assisting with any related duties
  • The Caregiver role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail oriented, patient, caring and enjoys a high level of personal engagement with older adults

This position is full-time and will involve rotating with another caregiver. The couple is located in Miami, FL, and typically spends 1-3 months annually in Baltimore and NY.

Schedule: The typical schedule is 5 days per week Friday – Tuesday 8 AM – 4:30 PM, with flexibility to work extra hours as needed. The couple is based in Miami, FL October – June. The preferred candidate will live-out in Miami and live-in July- September with them in Baltimore. Accommodations offered.

Compensation: Salary offer depends on experience

Requirements

  • Excellent references required from current and previous employers
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience in a private home or estate
  • Very strong fluency in/command of the English & russian language
  • Must be hands on with good attitude, high energy, and strong work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s license
