Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Assistant Property Manager with a strong background in luxury hospitality to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private household. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of three residences, managing household staff, supporting events, running errands and maintaining an elevated standard of service and presentation.
The position is based primarily in Greenwich Village, with regular travel to properties in Atlantic Beach and Cold Spring (within ~1.5 hours of NYC). A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
This is a hands-on role—ideal for someone equally comfortable coordinating vendors, preparing a home for guests, managing logistics, and stepping in for hands-on tasks such as running errands or assisting with setup and light cleaning when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Operations & Property Oversight

  • Ensure all homes are consistently clean, organized, and guest-ready

  • Maintain household inventories and manage supplies

  • Coordinate with the Property Manager and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and deliveries

  • Assist with logistical needs including package handling, furniture movement, and property setup

Staff Coordination
  • Supervise and support household staff including housekeepers and chefs

  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling team members

  • Maintain clear communication and ensure high standards of service

  • Provide coverage or support during weekends or staff absences as needed

  • Promote a respectful and professional working environment

Hospitality & Event Support
  • Work closely with the Personal Assistant and Chef to plan and execute events, dinners, and gatherings

  • Serve as host or point-of-contact during in-home events, ensuring a seamless experience

  • Coordinate with caterers, florists, and other vendors for event execution

  • Anticipate guest and principal needs to provide warm, discreet service

Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role within private households or 5-star hospitality settings

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Professional, discreet, and service-oriented

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple properties with attention to detail

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using smartphones, smart home systems, and basic household apps

  • Physical ability to assist with lifting/moving items (up to 50 lbs)

  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel

Preferred Attributes:
  • Formal training in household or hospitality management

  • Experience working with event vendors, contractors, or family offices

  • Familiarity with home automation and residential technology systems
