Overview

A private couple is seeking to hire an experienced Director of Residences/Maintenance Manager for oversight of their multiple properties in Palm Beach, FL. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role caring for and maintaining fine homes, yachts, or luxury hospitality properties. A broad knowledge of operational systems and a proven track record of successful property and vendor management are important. A professional demeanor, a strong hands-on work ethic, and a willingness to learn are key. Strong oral and written communication skills and an eye for detail are important.

  • Walk the properties to identify potential issues and manage the maintence team. 
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance and cleaning duties.
  • Wash windows, pressure wash hard surfaces, vacuum and skim pools/spas, wash and detail vehicles, change A/C filters, clean drains, add algae tabs, replace lightbulbs and batteries, etc.
  • Regularly inspect all systems and ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage repairs, building maintenance, and landscaping work performed by staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Keep vehicles fully serviced and properly stored.
  • Regularly assist with driving and errands.
  • Ensure the residence is ready for family and guest visits; oversee arrivals and departures.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure financial objectives are met and the best operating procedures are followed.
  • Work with the other team members on special projects and administrative duties.
  • Ensure all equipment is secured
  • Perform other general tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to work during weather-related emergencies (storm, snow, & drought)
  • Check on boilers, HVAC systems are working properly
  • Monitor any water leaks or fire hazards and report directly to the homeowners immediately

Requirements:

  • Motivated and punctual, able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Valid Work Authorization in the US
  • Professional mindset and the utmost discretion
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience working and supporting private estates
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Adept in managing and supervising household staff
  • Prioritize executive tasks and multi-task effectively
