Overview

A private family seeks an experienced professional Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private Oceanfront estate. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, self-driven, no job is too big or too small, very hands-on, and willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. This job will require managing construction projects on the property. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining operations of a large estate and managing multiple compounds within the property.
  • Supervise and perform routine tasks such as walking the property, and performing regular inspections to ensure proper function
  • Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, repairs, and emergency response for all building structures
  • Overseeing the upkeep of the landscape and maintenance of the grounds
  • Creating checklists and systems to implement that promote better/positive results in the work environment
  • Overseeing all exterior structures, and amenities such as swimming pools, fountains, etc.
  • Basic handyman skills and the ability to troubleshoot and fix various issues related to the property before contacting a third-party vendor.
  • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and contractors
  • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards
  • Full oversight of all construction projects on the property
  • Budge management and record keeping of all expenses related to outside vendors, contractors, repairs, and all financial spending related to the property
  • Caring for all vehicles and other machinery
  • Updating the owners of any foreseeable issues and always maintaining an open line of communication.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent references from current and previous positions
  • Proven experience overseeing private large estates and working with high-profile individuals
  • Excellent computer skills required, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet and e-mail
  • Experience supervising household staff and working with service staff and other outside vendors
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and alarm/security systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Handyman/Repair experience is required
