Overview

A private family in Palm Beach is seeking an experienced and highly capable Housekeeper / Cook to oversee the care, organization, and presentation of their residence, and to prepare light, healthy dinners for the one principal and teen adult.This is a hands-on role for an exceptional housekeeper who takes genuine pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, discreet, and service-minded, with a natural ability to anticipate the principals’ needs and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed, high-level housekeeping and maintain the residence to exceptional standards
  • Oversee daily organization and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, and guest areas
  • Prepare light, healthy dinners Tuesday through Friday for one adult and a teenage child
  • Plan simple weekly menus around the family’s tastes and dietary preferences
  • Keep the kitchen, pantry, and refrigerator clean, organized, and well stocked
  • Manage laundry, ironing, steaming, linens, and wardrobe care
  • Maintain household inventories and ensure supplies are properly stocked
  • Assist with packing, unpacking, and preparation for family travel
  • Assist with errands, grocery shopping, deliveries, and household needs
  • Provide care and support for the family’s dog, including walks and general pet needs
  • Confidently use household technology, apps, calendars, and smart-home systems
  • Drive the principals and assist with local transportation and errands as needed
  • Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and based on 40 hours of work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of high-end private household experience
  • Exceptional hands-on housekeeping and cleaning skills
  • Experience preparing healthy, home-style meals in a private household
  • Strong laundry, ironing, steaming, and garment-care experience
  • Must be a dog lover and comfortable assisting with pet care
  • Hospitality-minded with excellent attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently or as part of a household team
  • Excellent professional references
