Overview

A Private Residence seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to assist with the daily care and cleaning of their Southampton Residence. The ideal candidate must be an extremely detailed individual with experience working with families. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence; museum quality cleaning including care for fine furniture, art, antiques, etc.
  • Polishing fine surfaces; includes silver, brass, crystal, marble, etc.
  • Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens; packing and unpacking for frequent travel
  • Care of fine garments, use of steam press; seasonal wardrobe management
  • Management and organization of closets, pantries, etc.
  • Liaising with vendors and contractors, managing budgets, overseeing additional staff, etc.
  • Assisting with serving for special events and dinners in high-season.
  • Ensuring the meticulous appearance of residence
  • Greeting guests and answering phone calls; formal service
This is a year-round position with a 5 day work week 9am-5pm, Mid-May through Mid-September weekends are included in the schedule. Salary is generous but DOE. Benefits: Paid vacation and sick days, health benefits are included.
Requirements:
  • Excellent references required from current and previous employers
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience in a private home or estate as Executive Housekeeper
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent English and communication skills; additional language skills are a plus
  • Hands on with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean record a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends in season
  • US work authorization
  • Must love dogs and children
