Overview

A private family in Boca Raton, FL is currently seeking a full-time Nanny who is dedicated to working with two teenage girls (ages 12 and 14). The perfect candidate will also be expected to assist with Personal Assistant and light House Manager duties while the children are at school. A collaborative mindset would be highly valued for this role. We are specifically seeking individuals with a high level of enthusiasm who can streamline the family’s daily routine and ensure the household operates efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Always ensuring the safety of the two children.
  • Maintain a constant line of communication and report to the parents
  • Pick up children after school (around 3/4pm)
  • General household management – help with schedule coordination between nannies and housekeepers, managing days off, vacation, travel
  • Daily/weekly grocery shopping in local stores / farmer’s markets as well as online grocery shopping for specialty needs
  • Keeping track of household replenishable (for kids and adults) and taking over Amazon (or local apothecary/drug store / hardware store) shopping for items like: toiletries, cleaning supplies, vitamins, medicine, basic household items, gift shopping
  • Keeping track of kids needs: shoes, clothes, accessories, age-appropriate books – sometimes buying these items, sometimes making a list for Mom to buy
  • Help with scheduling and coordination for the kids (researching extracurricular and weekend activities, booking classes and tickets, play dates, birthdays/parties, doctor appointments, keeping track of school portals and class updates, keeping the family calendar up to date, rescheduling/canceling classes when the family is away, etc)
  • Help with researching and planning family travel (booking flights, cars, hotels, itineraries)
  • Booking dinner reservations and other activities
  • Basic errands (FedEx/UPS/USPS), tailoring, car servicing
  • Household liaison for things like window cleaning, exterminator, plumbing

Schedule: Monday to Friday for one week with weekends free, followed by a weekend on duty with Monday and Tuesday off. Working 5 days a week with two days off, alternating weekends. Working hours: 11AM – 7PM. Competative Salary with a comprehensive benefits package provided (Health Insurance allowance, A car, paid time off, sick leave, and travel reimbursement). Travel: Required to stay with the girls 2-3 times annually when parents are away.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years related experience working in a similar role
  • 4 year college degree is preferred
  • Academic Teaching, Childcare, Child Psychology background is a plus
  • Certification in CPR & First Aid
  • Excellent references are required from current and previous employers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Polished, poised, and professional
  • Loyal, discreet, and sagacious
  • Intelligent with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
