We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and energetic Rotational Nanny/Governess to provide exceptional care for a middle aged child The ideal candidate has expertise in child development across multiple age groups, a passion for fostering growth through educational and recreational activities, and the ability to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment tailored to the child’s needs. We are looking for someone committed to a long-term role, growing with our family.
Job Responsibilities

Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times.

Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including sports, educational exercises, and outdoor play.

Coordinate timely school drop-offs and arrange playdates with classmates.

Monitor and manage the child’s use of digital media and technology, encouraging creative, physical, and educational play.

Assist with homework and school projects, fostering academic growth.

Support the development of age-appropriate life skills.

Prepare healthy snacks and meals in accordance with dietary guidelines.

Manage the child’s clothing, laundry, and grooming needs.

Perform light housekeeping related to childcare, such as cleaning up after meals and organizing toys.

Transport the child to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments as needed.

Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding daily activities, behavior, and developmental milestones.

Handle minor injuries or illnesses with appropriate first aid, notifying parents promptly.

Uphold family rules, discipline standards, and daily routines.
Physical Job Functions

Engage in active physical play (e.g., running, jumping, lifting, crawling) for extended periods.

Participate in swimming and sports activities, including soccer, baseball, and tennis.

Carry school backpacks and other items as needed.

Maintain alertness and quick reflexes to respond to the child’s needs or emergencies.

Comfortable using various modes of transportation (e.g., Uber, train, bus).

Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation duties, with a willingness to assist around the home.
Qualifications

College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications or coursework in child development are a plus.

Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Minimum of 4 years of experience caring for children of various ages, from toddlers to teenagers.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if transportation is required).

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
The role is located in New York City with a work schedule of one week on and one week off. Occasional travel to Miami, the Hamptons, and abroad is necessary. A competitive salary and health insurance are provided.
