Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and experienced Governess/Family Assistant to provide exceptional care for three children (ages 9, 11, and 15) during busy after-school hours. This role involves managing school pickups, coordinating transportation to extracurricular activities and assisting with homework, maintaining household organization, and supporting bedtime routines. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, engaging individual with a background in child development, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to travel internationally. A warm, high-energy personality is essential to build strong connections with the children and serve as a nurturing role model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform school pickups and transportation to extracurricular activities and tutoring sessions.
  • Provide tailored homework assistance and academic support for each child’s needs.
  • Maintain household organization, including managing schedules and performing light household tasks.
  • Support bedtime routines to ensure a smooth evening schedule.
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment through creative and educational activities.
  • Accompany the family on international travel as needed.
  • Safely transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
  • Model positive behavior, enthusiasm, and energy in daily interactions.
  • Run light household errands and maintain daily organization.
  • Engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities and meaningful conversations.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday:
    • Tuesday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
    • Friday: 3:00 PM–overnight
    • Saturday: Depart at 3:00 PM

Accommodations:

  • Private live-in quarters (bedroom with en-suite bathroom) provided within the family residence.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience (DOE).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in childcare or a related field, preferably with a background in child development.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to connect with children ages 9–15 and serve as a positive role model.
  • High-energy, nurturing, and vibrant personality.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
