A private family of four in Palm Beach, with two school-aged children and a small dog, is seeking an accomplished Head Housekeeper to oversee the daily care, organization, and presentation of their luxury residence. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned household professional with deep expertise in museum-quality cleaning and the care of fine furnishings, antiques, and significant art collections.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes genuine pride in maintaining impeccable standards while supervising, training, and supporting a team of housekeepers. They are highly organized and meticulous, at ease in a formal private residence where discretion, precision, and teamwork are paramount, and warm and friendly with children.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Household Standards

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation
  • Supervise, train, and support the housekeeping team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment with clear accountability
  • Develop and maintain detailed cleaning schedules, procedures, and household standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of all areas of the residence

Care of Fine Interiors & Collections

  • Perform and oversee museum-quality cleaning throughout the home
  • Ensure the proper care and preservation of fine art, antiques, delicate furnishings, and specialty surfaces using approved methods and products

Wardrobe, Laundry & Linens

  • Oversee laundry, ironing, steaming, and the care of fine garments and luxury linens
  • Maintain organized wardrobes, closets, linen rooms, and storage areas

Household Operations

  • Coordinate deep cleaning, seasonal projects, and special preparations
  • Prepare the residence for family arrivals, guests, private dinners, and entertaining
  • Assist with light meal preparation as needed
  • Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment, and inventories
  • Communicate with household management and staff on maintenance concerns, scheduling, and daily priorities
  • Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of professional housekeeping experience in luxury private residences or formal estates (preferred)
  • Prior experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Head Housekeeper, or Housekeeping Supervisor, with demonstrated leadership and staff training experience
  • Excellent laundry, ironing, steaming, and fine garment-care skills
  • Strong hands-on skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfortable assisting with occasional light meal preparation
  • Kid-friendly, with a warm and patient manner around children
  • Comfortable working in a home with a small dog
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to build effective household systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative and team-oriented
  • Fluent in English; Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Available Monday through Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend coverage
  • Polished, discreet, dependable, and service-oriented
  • Excellent professional references
  • Valid U.S. work authorization
