Overview

A private family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a professional and experienced housekeeper/Nanny to maintain their home and provide occasional childcare support. The residence is approximately 7,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The family includes one 5-month-old child. The role is primarily housekeeping-focused with an ideal split of 80% housekeeping and 20% childcare as needed occasionally. The successful candidate will be warm, proactive, and confident in managing both housekeeping and childcare tasks while working collaboratively with stay-at-home parents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping, including cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and laundry
  • Maintain the home’s overall organization and cleanliness at all times
  • Perform full-charge housekeeping including daily and deep cleaning of the residence
  • Organize closets, kitchen, and household storage spaces
  • Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and proper garment care
  • Assist with meal preparation and kitchen cleanup
  • Support childcare needs, including supervision, engaging activities, and routines for young children
  • Ensure the home is always tidy, organized, and family-ready
  • Care for fine furnishings and delicate surfaces appropriately
  • Run local errands as needed
  • Assist with family routines, coordinating with parents to provide a supportive and positive home environment
  • Assist with light cooking family meals, and snacks for the kids.

Schedule Options: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in private homes with both housekeeping and childcare responsibilities
  • Experience caring for multiple young children
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic household
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and confidence driving in the area
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and discretion
