Overview
A private couple in Palm Beach, FL, seeks a professional, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their household team. The role primarily focuses on laundry while supporting the cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen areas. The new hire will work alongside four other housekeepers, a chef, and a House Manager. Occasional dog care is required; prior experience with pets is essential.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with extensive housekeeping experience in high-end private residences and exceptional laundry skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping and deep cleaning: vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and proper garbage disposal.
- Manage household supply inventory, including grocery and personal shopping, and floral arrangements.
- Maintain the residence in guest-ready condition at all times.
- Ensure museum-quality cleanliness, with specialized care for fine art, antiques, furniture, delicate surfaces, silver, brass, and china.
- Handle full-cycle laundry and ironing for clothing and linens, including fine garments.
- Organize closets and pantries; assist with travel packing and unpacking.
- Run daily errands and fulfill special requests.
Schedule
Full-time, Tuesday–Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Flexibility required for overtime and occasional weekends. Live-out year-round; optional travel to the Hamptons during summer months (not required for the full season).
Compensation Commensurate with experience (DOE).
Requirements
- 5+ years of housekeeping experience in private residences.
- Outstanding references from current and previous employers.
- Professional, polished, and poised, with absolute discretion and confidentiality.
- Self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and U.S. work authorization.
- Strong team player.
