Overview
Private Sagaponack, New York Residence seeks an experienced Housekeeper to assist with care and cleaning of their residence. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence; museum quality cleaning including care for fine furniture and surfaces, art, antiques, etc.
- Care of fine garments, use of steam press; seasonal wardrobe management
- Completing laundry and ironing, cleaning and pressing linens, caring for fine garments
- Caring for fine furniture, art, and antiques; polishing of and care for all silver, brass, china, etc.
- Assisting with related duties including greeting guests, answering phone calls, running errands, completing special requests, etc.
This is a contract hourly position that offers 40-60 hours a week Memorial day – September. Hourly pay is extremely generous and offers time and 1/2 for overtime. Off season October – May the housekeeper will only be required one day per week for upkeep of a seasonal home.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years related experience working within a private residence
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional mindset and the utmost discretion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Flexibility with hours and scheduling
- Must have a driver’s license with own car and clean record
- United States work authorization
