Overview

A meticulous, seasoned housekeeper is sought for a family of four (children ages 10 and 6) and one dog. Candidates must genuinely enjoy children and dogs. The successful candidate will work alongside the family assistant and Mom to keep the home at museum-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a polished professional who enjoys collaborative work, takes pride in excellence, and understands the expectations of white-glove private service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the residence, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Care for luxury furnishings, marble, hardwood floors, fine artwork, antiques, and other delicate surfaces and finishes.
  • Follow established household cleaning protocols using high-end products and equipment.
  • Handle laundry, ironing, steaming, linen care, and wardrobe organization as needed.
  • Maintain closets, pantries, guest rooms, storage areas, and common spaces in an organized, guest-ready condition.
  • Prepare the residence for family members and guests; assist with guest arrivals, deep cleaning, seasonal projects, and special events.
  • Follow daily task lists and household schedules efficiently.
  • Assist with household inventory, supplies, occasional errands, and additional tasks as requested.
  • Prepare simple, healthy, well-presented lunches and dinners for the family.
  • Grocery shop, maintain pantry and kitchen supplies, and assist with meal prep.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Work collaboratively with the household team to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Private live-in accommodations are provided within two blocks of the family residence.The ideal candidate is an excellent housekeeper and confident home cook who is organized, proactive, and willing to assist wherever needed. This position also requires a confident driver who can assist with errands, grocery shopping, and day-to-day household needs.Travel: Bridgehampton, NY — June through July. Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a private residence.
  • Strong knowledge of museum-quality cleaning techniques and the care of fine furnishings and luxury finishes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to the highest housekeeping standards.
  • Professional, polished, punctual, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for occasional overtime.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.
  • English required
  • Must love children and dogs.
