Overview

Private Family seeks experienced Nanny/Housekeeper  to assist with the daily maintenance, and cleaning of their residence, in addition to assisting with childcare. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment while providing all aspects of childcare
  • Assisting mother as needed with children (ages 5 ,8 & 10) taking them to and from school, appointments, lessons, activities, etc.
  • Managing nightly schedules; seeing children are fed; bathe; overseeing homework, etc.
  • Plan and prepare meals for family, clean and organize after meals
  • Planning educational and recreational activities
  • General housekeeping of residence; includes cleaning, laundry, ironing, and maintenance of the residence
  • Conducting inventory and procuring household supplies as needed, including grocery shopping, etc.
  • Running errands and other related duties as needed

 

This is a full-time, live-in position working along side another full-time housekeeper. The successful candidate will have their own room and bathroom. Salary is generous but DOE.

 

Requirements

 

  • Excellent references required from current and previous employers
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience in a private home as Nanny
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid, infant, child and adult is a plus
  • Previous experience caring for multiple children simultaneously
  • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Only serious candidates looking for long term position
  • Excellent cooking skills
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Valid passport with availability to travel with principals
  • Spend Summers weekends in the Hamptons
  • Must have driver’s license with clean driving record a plus
  • US work authorization
