Overview

A Private Formal Residence seeks an experienced Private Chef. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Chef with creative flair and able to prepare a variety of healthy dishes. This individual must have great communication and writing skills, a can-do attitude, and an eagerness to work hard. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Creating daily healthy and fresh meals for family
  • Weekly collaborative menu planning
  • Preparing lunch and dinner
  • Procuring all kitchen supplies, including groceries and any other item as needed; maintaining detailed inventory lists
  • Formal table setting and service
  • Coordinating with additional household staff
  • Managing vendors and contractors
  • Conducting inventory and procuring supplies
  • Responding to special requests, errands, and related duties as needed
  • Travel between residences ( Palm Beach, FL & Southampton, NY)
  • Creating fresh and seasonal meals including lunches, dinners, snacks, special events and large parties as needed
  • Managing the cleanliness and organization of the kitchens and refrigeraton
  • Serving and cleaning up after meals
  • Event planning and execution; includes family gatherings, fundraisers, family dinners, etc.

This is a full-time live-in position.  Salary is generous but DOE.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience working as Private Chef
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A superb command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Must be hands on with good attitude, high energy, and strong work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent cooking skills with ability to prepare and serve daily meals and parties, etc.
  • Flexible to work overtime and some weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel with principal as needed
  • Valid Passport
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must love dogs
