A private family based in Brooklyn, who travel frequently to Miami, is seeking an experienced Nanny to care for their two girls, ages 3 and 8. The family is looking for an energetic nanny who brings confidence, maturity, and extensive hands-on experience. The ideal candidate is warm and nurturing, as well as organized and proactive, and works well with household staff. Fluency in English and Russian is required.
Location & Schedule
- Based in Brooklyn, with frequent trips to Miami during the winter months
- Ideal schedule: Thursday–Sunday, full-time
- Live-out in NYC; live-in while in Miami and the Hamptons (summers)
- Frequent travel with the family
- The family is open to a full-time live-in arrangement if preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for both children
- Manage morning, daytime, evening, and bedtime routines
- Assist with school routines, transportation, appointments, and extracurricular activities
- Plan engaging, educational, age-appropriate activities and outings
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain the children’s bedrooms, playroom, clothing, toys, and belongings
- Handle the children’s laundry, organization, and packing/unpacking for travel
- Provide overnight care as scheduled and respond to the children’s needs during the night
- Coordinate with household staff to keep routines consistent
- Keep open communication with the parents about schedules, activities, and the children’s needs
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and positive environment at all times
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional nanny experience in a private household
- Strong hands-on experience with toddlers, school-age children, and caring for multiple children
- Fluent in English and Russian
- Comfortable with frequent travel and extended live-in periods
- Warm, nurturing, energetic, and confident childcare style
- Strong understanding of age-appropriate development and routines
- Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to a busy family’s needs
- Excellent communication skills and sound judgment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
- Valid driver’s license
