Overview
A private couple seeks to hire a temp private Chef to prepare daily meals for the couple, typically cooking meals for 2 people, lunch and dinner. The ideal candidate will have worked in a high-profile home in previous positions and will be seasoned in creating a variety of exquisite, healthy, mostly vegan cuisines for the principals.
Responsibilities:
- Creating daily healthy and fresh meals for family; organic & seasonal
- Menu planning and execution
- Healthy organic meals
- Daily preparation for lunch and dinner
- Procuring all kitchen supplies, including groceries and any other items as needed; maintaining detailed inventory lists
- Sanitation and organization of the kitchen (refrigerator, pantries, drawers, etc.), including post-event clean-up
- Assisting with meal service for special dinners and events
Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Temporary role starting on March 18th and ending on July 1st. Training under current chef for two weeks, then working independently while the chef is on a 12-week leave. Potential for part-time long-term position following the temporary role if the right fit.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience working as a Private Chef
- Culinary Degree from an accredited College or Culinary Institution
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- A superb command of the English language, both written and oral
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Polished, professional, and poised
- Utmost sense of discretion and professionalism
- Valid Driver’s License
