Position Overview A private couple is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Temporary Housekeeper to join their household team in Bridgehampton for the summer. This is a collaborative, team-oriented role where you will work alongside a full-time housekeeper and a private chef.

The ideal candidate is highly capable, warm, personable, and accommodating — someone who can integrate seamlessly into the home and become a trusted member of the household. The residence includes two small dogs, so dog lovers who are comfortable and friendly with pets are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed daily housekeeping of all living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
  • Maintain the home to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation
  • Manage full laundry service: washing, drying, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care
  • Organize closets, cabinets, and storage areas
  • Assist with grocery ordering and inventory of household supplies
  • Provide light cooking support as needed
  • Assist with table setting, serving, and cleanup during family meals or gatherings
  • Collaborate closely with the existing housekeeper and household staff in a supportive team environment
  • Offer light, respectful support to the adult child with special needs when required
  • Ensure the home remains guest-ready at all times

Location: Bridgehampton, NY

Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Flexibility: Occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Dates: June 24th – July 24th (4 weeks)

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional housekeeping experience in private residences
  • Experience working as part of a household team
  • Excellent laundry and ironing skills
  • Warm, personable, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Comfortable working in a home with an adult individual with special needs
  • Some serving or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff
  • Excellent references from previous private household employers
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & Details Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Live-in or live-out options available.
